Uncle Buck fic

archersangelTia's mother, Cindy, has had a heart attack (does this run in families? Tia makes a note to ask her doctor) and she is going to her parent's retirement community in Arizona to help her dad take care of her. Neither her brother Miles (business trip), nor her sister Maizy (ready to give birth) can come over to watch her children and all of her husband's family lives too far away. She makes a phone call to her uncle Buck.
The children greet him enthusiastically upon his arrival, Tia explains their schedule (swim class on Tuesdays & dance class on Thursdays), their dietary restrictions (both children are lactose intolerant), and what needs to be done around the house (shows him how to work the washer and drier, garbage pick-up is Monday mornings, the cat is to be fed twice a day plus some dental treats with dinner, litter box to be cleaned and litter topped off as needed, & her water dispenser needs to be cleaned and refilled).
Buck has made improvements to his life in the past couple of decades.; he stopped smoking, stopped drinking, lost some weight, doesn't bet on horse races quite as much (his words) & still bowls when he can . If needs be Chanice is semi-retired & just a phone call plus a 40 minute drive away. So Tia is not worried. Not really.

i'm only half-way through the second one & will not bother looking at the third. frivolous febuary is coming up soon and i actually have a decent idea this time.
