watched thunderbolts and it was OK. don't know why they had bucky in congress (was that a comics thing?). unless it was for him to be knowledgeable about whats-her-name from the CIA/OXE. and why bother having taskmaster if they were going to kill her off 5 minutes after she appeared on screen?

saw spider-man: across the spiderverse. could've seen this on FX a few months ago, but my brother didn't want to see it with commercials. cracked up at them having a spider-cat, who coughs up web balls. looked it up and there is a spider-cat in some comic or other.
part 3 is not until june 2027?! will society even last until then? we probably won't be able to see it until 2028 & by that time disney+ will be $30 a month.

also watched jim henson idea man, howard (about howard ashman) & one episode of the documentary about hurricane katrina.

Ah, Thunderbolts. I thought it couldn't be good with that many heroes to split the time, and I didn't like the preview. Then I saw people whose opinions I generally consider good saying that it was great! So we saw it in the theater. I was so disappointed! Bucky and Yelena are my favorite characters. Bucky got basically no development (and I hate that he now seems to have no relationship with Sam?!). Yelena at least got some development, but it felt like to get her there, they had to make her both a depressive and an unsympathetic assassin. She was controlled for so many years, but when she got her freedom, all she did was continue to kill people?

I really enjoyed Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse. The sequels have been taking so long because it's a massive undertaking for the artists, and I think they had problems with completed scenes being thrown away by people above which then had to be rewritten and totally reanimated. I've read articles about how poorly the artists are treated by Marvel, and it made me angry for them.

I just can't imagine Bucky wanting to be a member of Congress. Before recent events, I would think his history as The Winter Soldier would make him unelectable.

Why bother showing Taskmaster's face, when they could have just as easily left the mask on and probably saved money? Hope the actress got a good paycheck.
