dealing with this again

archersangelmy brother is running low on his current deodorant (one of the dove men's line, i forget which) & we went to wal-mart to look for another one. the dove men's stuff is expensive and he was looking at i forget what brand, when i noticed that suave now has a men's deodorant line.
they have 3 scents; active sport, stress protect & ocean charge. he was torn between the last two, but ended up going with the stress protect. hope it smells alright on him.
the price for basic deodorant these days is getting crazy. nearly $7 for basic secret, when just a few years ago it was under $5. suave continues to be under $3 (all of these are local wal-mart prices) & I hope that continues. pretty soon it will be cheaper to buy cheap perfume & splash that on your pits.
and everyone & their cousin has a whole body deodorant that's about $7 too. i don't know if that has anything to do with the higher prices, or that's just how things are these days.
you can get it cheaper at dollar general, but it's a smaller size & you're limited on brands and scents. plus the last time i was in that section all the deodorant was behind a plexiglass door that went bing-bong, bing-bong! the whole time you had it lifted. then a store employee would come over & hover while you where in the area. and i wanted to say; "i swear by everything holy on this crappy, little planet that i'm not going to steal this. i just want to compare scents of brand A & brand B."
of course the last time were in a DG (about 2 years ago) there was one employee stocking & checking people out. we seemed to be the only customers & probably could've walked away with about 1/4 of the store. if we were so inclined.
