archersangelFriedrich knows better than to disturb his wife when she is writing, the italics come across every time she informs him of intentions for the afternoon.
He can tell by the way she looks out the window near her desk with a slight frown that she is thinking intently over some part of of her story.
Her nieces and nephews, as well as her own children tread lightly & speak softly during these times. However, occasionally an unintended shout, or chair scrapped across the floor will cause Jo to briefly smile in amusement before going back to her thoughts.
