another price increase for youtube tv

it was announced several days back that youtube tv would raise their price by $10. $82.99 per month, up from $72.99, but with taxes it's $5 more than those quoted prices.

i said after the last price increase that i didn't know how much longer we could keep on with this. the sad thing is there are no cheaper alternatives. hulu+ live tv is about the same cost, free streaming things suck & an antenna would not work here.

people say pirate stuff, but just our luck we'd get caught. and you can't do that for live tv, so the super bowl, the olympics, breaking news and severe weather reports would be out.

i kind of wish that nbc/universal did remove their stuff from youtube tv during their dispute with google a few years ago, it would be about $10 cheaper now.
but also nbc/universal is looking to spin-off their cable channels into a separate company, which they will probably charge more for. since youtube tv is "digital cable" it seems likely this will happen.

Check out DirecTV Stream. You only need a Roku or Firestick for your television, no equipment to rent. I believe their base plan is ~ $75/mon
