well, i finally got to the the marvels. my brother rejoined gamefly for this movie & a few others.
it was a nice movie, but i could see where it had problems. at one point my brother noticed that carol's tank top went from white to black in one scene. and i thought that kamala had both quantum bands after the big fight, but at the end she's only wearing one.
things kind of went on too long with the flerkin babies eating(?) everyone to get the off of the S.A.B.E.R. station, and WTF was with those music choices? also the singing stuff on aladna (most of that plot-line could been cut, IMHO). as an aside; tarnax & aladna are fine despite their atmosphere and oceans being sucked up to hala. sure.
these movies & tv shows seem to be setting up a new/young avengers movie. even going back as far as the age of ultron with rogers and romanoff preparing to train new avengers team members rhodes, vision, sam wilson, and wanda at the end. instead disney/marvel went with the multiverse thing that is flopping so hard that i practically feel the pain from it. and the end credits scenes seamed to be doing both ideas.
disney/marvel should've waited a few more years before doing more MCU stuff, or just the tv series, and certainly not something where you have to watch EVERYTHING to understand what is going on.
unfortunately this move didn't make back what money was put into it and comic book bros will blame that fact that it was a female-lead & woman directed movie instead of marvel fatigue.

I thought that movie had the best training montage ever. Kamala Khan is my favorite of the Marvel heroes!

The MCU becoming one big ongoing story was such a Big Thing, I don't think TPTB saw the potential for burnout after a decade of hits. Not to mention the possibility that they'd put all their eggs in one basket. So now we have the actor portraying Kang in legal trouble and TPTB are scrambling to figure out what to do. Recast or redirect the storyline altogether? Take a wrong turn in the plot arc and where do you go from there? Apparently right where we are, because it seems the more casual viewers were done after Endgame.
I was totally expecting the build up to a Young Avengers storyline. We have most established on screen, but nothing seems to be happening on that front.
