48. mostly fiction.

The Spy and the Traitor: The Greatest Espionage Story of the Cold War & Agent Sonya: The Spy Next Door by Ben Macintyre. there is no third.
3. What's a book you enjoyed more than you expected?
the two by Macintyre.
4. Which books most disappointed you this year?
too many to list.

yes. quite a few.
