friday 5: marriage

1. Do you want to get married?
no.

2. Where would you like to get married?
if i did, at some nice resort or possibly a nice old house.

3. If you were getting married in a week, who would be in your wedding party?
i don't have any friends, or talk with my extended family. so it would just be my brother.

4. What would your wedding colours be?
blue, maybe dusty blue & gray, possibly more of a pewter.

5. Does marriage mean to you 'til death do us part?'
ideally, yes. but people change so much, who you are at 25 is not who you might be at 55. so, it doesn't seem reasonable to be with one person 40 or more years.
sometimes i wonder if couples stay together because they feel they have to, not because they want to.

Some of us stay together because they want to! (And because no one else would have us! ;-) )We celebrated 32 years of marriage a couple of months ago, and still going strong. I feel very lucky, because I know that's not everyone's experience.

i didn't mean my comments as an insult to people with long, happy marriages. they were biased on what i've seen over the years.

My ex and I were together a total of 12 years, 10 of them married. However, my oldest sister and her husband will be married 60 years in December and my brother and his wife celebrated their 53rd anniversary this past March.

My wife and I have only been married 4 years but this is our view on things - and if we're married for 10 years or for 50, it will have been worth it
