ghostbusters: afterlife

saw this recently, it was kind of meh.
according to tv tropes it's called ghostbusters: legacy in japan, or somewhere, and i think that's a better title.
first of all why is phoebe in summer school? according to wikipedia, it's just a class she takes, but i can't imagine it's free. it should've been something at the local library, maybe. or she just goes there to see what books they have and meet grooberson & podcast there.
there was no reason to have ivo shandor in this movie. unless it was in old home movies of him dedicating one of the buildings in town that phoebe/podcast/grooberson watched on youtube. i think he had the temple carved in the mountain and all of those miners who supposedly threw themselves down the mine shaft were either sacrifices or were killed to coverup the work.
if egon left with all the equipment, where did they guys get the proton packs at the end? and the kids are supposed to be wearing coveralls meant for grown men, but when they're wearing them they don't look baggy at all.
if the firehouse is gone "it's a starbucs now" why is winston shown going to the old (apparently abandoned) place at the end?
the :muncher: ghost is a stand-in for slimer.
they have some things related to the real ghostbusters animated series, which i love, the gunner seat on exto-1 & one brief shot of a one-eyed ghost. which might be from the series, or just a toy reference, depending on what source you look at.
who knew that "the terror dogs" were ghosts? explains how they can possess people though.
peter & winston looked older in the movie than in the mid-credits & end credits scenes. the continuity person dropped the ball on that.
they made winson a rich investor of some sort. is that to make up for cutting a lot of his scenes form the original movie, and the fact that ernie hudson feels cheated of the success he's thought he'd have after the movie?
i don't care what they had in the second movie, i'm still a egon/janine shipper. and with the line "i was your father's ... we were ... friends." i was thinking that maybe they had a FWB thing going on. she still cared enough to make sure his bills were paid.
if there's another one i'm not watching it. i'm not interesting inthe junior ghostbusters ghostbusters; the next generation. i watched this because it seemed to be in the spirit (no pun intended) of the first two.
