1) What's your favorite dish to bring to a summer cookout?
i don't really go to cookouts. but i bring chips or cookies (for something different)/

2) How much time have you spent outdoors this week?
less than 2 hours/

3) Where do you set your thermostat?
well i don't have AC, so i can not answer this

4) How did you learn to swim?
not sure i did. in freshman & sophomore years of high school they made us take swimming for one 9-week semester. i mostly floated.

5) How do you avoid overheating?
avoiding the sun, having windows open & a fan going. drinking large amounts of cold water.

I lived in the Midwest for many years without AC—but I can't imagine doing it now, even back there; there really seem to be more hot days, and hot days are even hotter!

Now I live in Florida. I know people lived here before AC. I'm not sure how.
