friday 5; county or state fair

archersangel1. When was the last time you went to a state or county fair? in the 1990s.
2. Did you try your hand at the midway games? no. they're all rigged.
3. Which of the rides were your favorite, either now or as a kid? the merry-go-round.
4. Did you ever enter anything into the exhibits? How did you do? no.
5. What is your best memory that you take from a fair? winning some roulette midway game by betting on my mom's birth date (as in the day of the month). i was like 3-4 and the operator probably let me win. my prize was a blue teddy bear that i named blue bear.

Date: Jun. 21st, 2020 08:46 pm (UTC)As a very urban child, I don't think I went to any as a kid. The state fair isn't all that far a drive from our home in Florida, though, so we took Progeny a couple of times when she was small. She outgrew it pretty quickly. (She didn't win anything)
