archersangeli won't write about all the books i read this year, but felt the need to write about this one.
this is a vampire book, which i never read, but if you took the vampire theme out of it & made it about a search for atlantis or something it would be just as good IMHO. 900 pages was a bit much though even at half that length it would've been fine or even just 300 pages shorter.
it could've been two books even. one about the narrator's parents adventure & then one about their daughter (the narrator) discovering what had happened.
it was a bit of a surprise that dracula was a collector of books (about war, death & torture. naturally) and was looking for a good librarian or researcher to catalogue them.
i wonder if the narrator married the english college student that helped her, that wasn't mentioned. i like to think so.
