books: good news & bad news

archersangelthe good news; the rest of my books came from overstock.com today! *looks at growing to read pile*
the bad news; my local border's express is closing. 1 of 200 that are closing nation-wide. it's the only one in the county & there's no other new book place coming in.
some good news within the bad; i scored the other boleyn girl (movie poster cover) for 50% less than cover. my brother got some computer book at 60% off & we also got some fancy fiber cookies at 50% off.

Date: Jan. 14th, 2010 03:32 am (UTC)I've so rarely lived in the same county as an actual bookstore, but it definitely bites that it's closing. I ended up ordering a number of books from Waldenbooks when it was still open at our local mall, now it's a much longer drive.
(at least you picked up some clearance items though!)
