probably the amelia peabody series by elizabeth peters. (i had to look-up book hangover)

R. Reading Regret
one of the worst, if not the worst books i've read: the deus machine by pierre ouellette. an interesting concept according to the blurb on the back quickly turned WTF?! & i skipped/skimmed large parts of it just to get to the end to find out how it ended.

Thank you! I keep promising myself I'm going to read all the Amelia Peabody mysteries, but I never get around to it, dammit. As for Mr. Ouellette and his oeuvre, it's good to know who to stay away from!
