Pedigree counts at CBS, which is picking up NCIS and CSI spin-offs and an Odd Couple remake starring Friends veteran Matthew Perry.
They are among eight series — six dramas and two comedies — being ordered by the most-watched broadcast network. It's not known whether the new shows will run in the fall or during midseason. There is also no word on the status of another high-profile project, How I Met Your Dad.
NCIS: New Orleans, which stars Scott Bakula, was featured recently in two episodes of top-rated NCIS. Bakula's character heads the New Orleans branch of NCIS, investigating crimes throughout the Gulf region.
