"I swear I can explain!" Jonathan said as the door to the library opened, more on instinct than anything else.
Rick looked around the room that at that moment contained, besides Jonathan & a large collection of books; several cats, a basket of fruit, some car parts and an indeterminate number of feather boas.
Rick slowly closed the door and walked away, sometimes it was better not knowing.
ETA: i need to remember that anything in quotes for the cut line doesn't work.
