cookies, TV, etsy & misspellings

it's girl scout cookie season! we went to a local super market where the GSC site said they'd be today. we thought we just missed them, it turns out that it was another troop just setting up \o/. we scored a box of the tagalongs (crispy cookies layered with peanut butter and covered with a chocolaty coating.) & one of the savannah smiles (crisp, zesty lemon wedge cookies dusted with powdered sugar) never had those before, wanted to try them. then we went to lowe's and scored another box of tagalongs. we wanted to get some lemonades (savory slices of shortbread with a refreshingly tangy lemon-flavored icing) to try, but neither place had them. might try next weekend when the local mall & wal-mart will have troops selling.
the amazing race started up again on the 17th, i watched the first episode, it just doesn't grab me like it used to. no it seems that i mainly watch for the scenery these days. there's this one couple; newly wed just 3 weeks before the filming, that are starting to bug me despite like 6 minutes of screen time. at the airport they were like: "guess we should make friends. you know alliances and all." (i could practically hear the eyerolling) she said something about talking to these annoying people and the husband said his wife doesn't have friends (i could see why!) she then went on to say she had to put on her "girl face" and he said something about a "girl voice." cut to her doing a fake laugh.
i bet she whines if & when there's a messy/hard challenge.
to add to this; in their intro video she's holding a big box of cigars & he's lighting one up, the thing was huge! like a foot long and at least an inch across. i've decided they're the D-bag couple and hope they're gone soon. which probably means they'll be around for a few weeks.
i was poking around etsy the other day (as you do) and stumbled across some kind of harry potter pin or pendant. in the discrimination it's listed as a hufflepuee thing. i thought; that must be a typo in the description, crap happens. so i look at the piece & sure enough it says on it hufflepuEE not hufflepuFF. the seller has an chinese-sounding name, so i'm guessing that english is not the primary language. or maybe there was a typo in the book they got it from. as far as i can tell, the other house names are spelled correctly. i wonder how many bought that & didn't realize that it was spelled wrong?
speaking of misspellings; twice today i spelled white as shite. i swear i misspell more stuff when i type on a keyboard. i think it's because my typing speed & my thinking speed don't match up.
