i was thinking about food lately. that i wouldn't say i'm a very picky eater (not one of those who will only eat 5 foods or just anything white) but i'm not very adventurous when it comes to food. (my brother, on the other hand, claims that he will try just about any food item once.)
he wanted to try sushi for years, so we get this stuff from fujisan to try. neither one of us was thrilled with it. i'm told by a fan of "real" sushi that store bought is inferior, but i'm in no hurry to find out.

my food opinions on....

i will take waffles over pancakes any day. in general i prefer sausage to bacon since you don't have to deal with the fatty bits.
i like cold cereal over hot & "kid" cereals over the more grown-up ones. i rarely put fruit in my cereal & when i do, it's banana.

i like chicken, beef pork or seafood. mostly shrimp or the standard breaded fish. i like pasta; spaghetti or elbow macaroni with tomato sauce. sometimes mack & cheese or one of those hamburger helpers.

i like a good hamburger. i don't need a bunch of stuff on it (mainly because it tend to slide out) but cheese & bacon, in addition to lettuce, tomato & onion, are good add-ons. i like a nice chicken sandwich as well and a fish sandwich now and then too.
my opinion on condiments differ depending on what i'm eating. ketchup, yellow mustard, mayo & BBQ sauce are good for a burger. mayo or BBQ (sometimes ranch) on the chicken. only tartar sauce or if needs be mayo, on the fish.
9 times out of 10 i dip my french fries in ketchup, unless i'm having some for of dip-able chicken with sauce.
generally i prefer chicken strips over nuggets & am not a fan of chicken fries. for dipping of chicken products i like honey mustard or BBQ, sometimes ranch. onion rings are rare in fast food places. burger king has the best ones, IMHO. ore-ida makes some good ones to have at home.

i don't like most vegetables. the only ones i like are corn (not creamed) green beans, lettuce, tomatoes (i know they're fruit but to me they're a vegetable) onions, cucumbers, potatoes & broccoli (cooked only)
i love a good salad, but when we (brother & i) make them we go crazy. lettuce, baby spinach, carrot matchsticks (most anything can be hid by copious amounts of dressing) sliced peperoni, cubed ham, various cheeses, croutons (it's had to find the smaller ones that i prefer), tortilla strips & dressing.
preferred dressing for salads; ranch, honey mustard, french, blue cheese, thousand island, creamy italian (sometimes) or catalina
under the heading of other salads; i prefer macaroni over potato or cole slaw, but will take cole slaw over potato.

i prefer cake to pie. when i have pie, i prefer cream to fruit. banana cream is the best (usually, sometimes there a brand that sucks) i don't like coconuts but will take coconut over lemon. boston cream is good too. in fruit pies i like apple & hate cherry. i don't really care for pumpkin or pecan, but will take those over cherry.
i like ice cream, not a fan of frozen yogurt. i prefer vanilla over most others. chocolate ice cream usually doesn't sit well with me. mint ice cream is a big no. i like "stuff" in my ice cream. chocolate chips, cookies & cream or peanut butter swirls. (again, depending on the brand, these could suck.)
in general i like cupcakes more than muffins, but when i buy a muffin, it's chocolate chip or banana nut (although i prefer my baked goods to have no nuts)
i take peanut butter cookies over chocolate chip & chocolate chip over oatmeal. especially if there are raisins.
i prefer putting over jello, especially if there's fruit in the jello

water is my preferred beverage with tea & milk a close second. although i drink more coke that is probably good for me. i take coke over pepsi (in places that only have pepsi products, i take mountain dew) i like hot chocolate (it's hard to find good stuff) & hate coffee.
i really don't like nuts, but will eat dry roasted salted peanuts now and then.
in fruit, i like apples, bananas, oranges rarely pears.

ETA;

i like a good sandwich. one that's loaded with stuff, sliced chicken, turkey & ham. with a couple slices of different cheeses and maybe some tomato and/or lettuce. with chips (potato or doritos) but on it & then the sandwich must be squished to break the chips. don't know why. condiments differ depending on what the sandwich is made of. chicken & turkey get mayo (or possibly left over dressing) ham usually gets yellow mustard. i like peanut butter sandwiches. rarely have jelly on them, i prefer honey. as for breads, the main preference is white bread. very rarely do i have something like honey wheat or 5 grain. sometimes a make the sandwich a wrap by suing a flour tortilla. but you can't load one of those up too much or you can't really "wrap" it.i tried one of those flatout things once, wasn't impressed by the taste.
