1. Favorite childhood book?
i can't recall may books from childhood. perhaps little women.
2. What are you reading right now?
ramesses: egypt's greatest pharaoh by joyce a. tyldesley
3. What books do you have on request at the library?
i haven't had a library card since the reagan era.
4. Bad book habit?
buying too many books at once.
5. What do you currently have checked out at the library?
nothing. see answer to question #3
6. Do you have an e-reader?
no.
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once?
just one. unless i have a behind the scenes/making of book & then that becones my "second" book.
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog?
no
9. Least favourite book you've read this year (so far)?
sara & eleanor: the story of sara delano roosevelt & her daughter-in-law, eleanor roosevelt

rarely.
12. What is your reading comfort zone?
historical fiction, mysteries, star trek, star wars, stargate: sg-1 & the occasional biography.
13. Can you read on the bus?
no.
14. Favorite place to read?
a comfortable chair.

never.
16. Do you ever dog-ear books?
no.
17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books?
not ever!
18. Not even with text books?
no. i had to erase too many marks (made by others) in my school books to ever do that.
19. What is your favourite language to read in?
english. the only one i can read in.
20. What makes you love a book?
it has to be interesting & at least somewhat well written. other than that, i don't know.
21. What will inspire you to recommend a book?
if i found it to be somewhat interesting & it's in the genre that someone is looking for a read in.

as of now it's historical fiction
23. Genre you rarely read (but wish you did)?
history. without the fictional spin.
24. Favourite biography?
from sawdust to stardust: the biography of deforest kelley, star trek's dr. mccoy by terry lee rioux
25. Have you ever read a self-help book?
no.
26. Favourite cookbook?
some old bety crocker thing my mom used.
27. Most inspirational book you've read this year (fiction or non-fiction)?
i don't think i've found any to be inspirational.

no food or drink while reading for me.
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience.
i can't say any ruined something for me.
30. How often do you agree with critics about a book?
it's been my experience that most critics don't have a clue.
31. How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews?
it's just my opinion & i can't imagine someone not reading a book because of it.
32. If you could read in a foreign language, which language would you chose?
maybe Polish.
33. Most intimidating book you've ever read?
any of the long ones, like gone with the wind. have a thick bio on harry s. truman on my to be read pile that's making me nervous.

i don't take books traveling with me.

outside noise or music.

i try. am not succeeding much.

i keep most of them. should give away a bunch sometime.
