thoughts that are random

any people who are at live journal & are not at dragon-con doing anything over at
no_con_do ?
i've been having trouble sleeping lately. that reminded me about last year's dragon-con, because i had trouble sleeping the night before we left. i had hoped that i could sleep some on the plane, but it was not to be. that plus the 5 hour wait for the badges had me dragging my ass. an early bedtime that night helped things, despite an early wake-up to get ready & eat breakfast before getting in like for the QL panel that was the first thing. i think we managed we hit 9 panels that year. (6 the previous year) plus my brother took pictures of the akira animation cells that were on display.
i've been thinking about who we would've seen if we had gone this year. most likely the trek people we didn't see before. probably carrie fisher & chrisopher lloyd too.
my dad had to go for physical therapy for the first time yesterday. after some stories i've heard about it sometimes not working or making thing worse, i was glad to hear that that there is improvement.
we (dad, brother & i) went to burger king yesterday. my brother the california wopper, which is a regular wopper with swiss cheese, no onion & guacamole slapped on it. i tried some of the guacamole by scoopong up some on one of my fries and it confirmed what i always suspected; i don't like guacamole. my brother didn't think much of it and said "it sat like a lump" in his stomach for a long time.
what's with this trend of slapping guacamole on stuff to make it healthier? first it was subway, now it's burger king, who's next?
BK now has mini hamburgers & chicken sandwiches too. i tried some of the mini chicken ones. they were a bit dry and salty. i might try the mini burgers at some point (anyone remember the burger buddies that came 2 to a package?)
they also have soft serve ice cream. sundays, shakes & cones. might try some of that too.
