When Luke goes back Tatooine to rescue Han, he can't resist going to Anchorhead to visit his old friends & the places they would frequent. They've heard he was back and have a million questions. People said that he had gone into the Imperial Academy after his aunt & uncle were killed. A few believed he married the daughter of a freight ship captain & joined his crew. Some were sure he died out in the Dune Sea. There was even a rumor that he joined the Rebellion.
But as every one of them walks up to shake his hand or pat him on the back, they stop short. Their words of greeting get stuck in their throats, their smiles at seeing him again freeze in place. There's something different about Luke that they can't quite figure out. It's not just that he looks older, or that he's dressed all in black, but a feeling they have that he's changed in a way they can not understand.
Luke senses their confusion, and in a few cases fear, & takes a step back. Makes some general comments about the old days & tries to make a joke about how long it's been. He doesn't stay long, leaving with a comment about how good it is to see old friends & trying to ignore the sense of relief he feels from them as he goes.
and the fill; NCIS: New Orleans, any. Let the good times roll
so many of my prompts have been filled this year. i'll have to try and think of more for next year.
