Jan. 15th, 2021 12:22 ama couple of months ago my local wal-mart rearranged most everything in the store. and reduced the size of the deli counter by half for good measure.
so now it takes twice as long to find stuff and get out. which is what they want, so you can find something you didn't know you needed as you wander the isles.
they also moved the seasonal section, which used to be both sides of an isle in the food section to like 3-4 sides of shorter isles in the non-food area. not only does it reduce shelf space, but it is further away from a price scanner in the non-food seasonal area (Ex. pool stuff in summer) which is unplugged at random times. the store only has two to begin with, they used to have three but got rid of one years ago.
