first go to plan your vote on the NBC news websiste.
Mark your calendars. Everything you need to know about mail-in and early in-person voting, including the first day you can cast your ballot in the 2020 election.
and then follow [personal profile] twistedchick 's advice;
--Officially request an absentee ballot from your local Board of Elections (usually at the county level). --Look up where the Board of Elections is located, and where there are official B of E drop boxes for ballots -- usually in government buildings. --Fill out your ballot as soon as it arrives (they are almost guaranteed to be very close to deadline). --Take it to an official Board of Elections drop box and put it in. Or take it to the Board of Elections office. That's it. Avoid using the mail -- if you are going to mail it back, do so before Oct. 20, because otherwise it's likely to be delayed until it is too late.
i heard from someone who's husband has been a mail carrier for 20 years that packages are being given priority. so if you can't take it to a drop box, maybe put it in a small box & mail it?
