SG-1 fans are everywhere

some time ago i posted this entry about my star trek hat getting a (awkward) comment. so now my sg-1 cap (that i got from creation) got a comment.

my brother is looking for a new mattress. i went along to remind him about stuff he's read on mattress shopping & for general company. at this one mattress place after the sales pitch and the gentle nudging for my brother to get the over-priced memory foam mattress the sales-guy (the only one in the store) turns to me and asks:

"so stargate:sg-1? did you actually watch it, or are you just wearing the hat?"
me: "i watched the series."
him: "me too. jack o'neill was my favorite, he was so funny & he was like macgyver you know?
me: *smiles a little & nods*
him: "but when he left, it wasn't the same."
me: *shake my head to indicate that it wasn't* (i refrain from mentioning that the show was supposed to end after the 8^th season & there was going to be a series set at the SGC called stargate command)
him: "i tried to get into atlantis, but i just couldn't get into it."
me: *nods again*
him: "it was like with star trek, you know? there was the original & then DS9 and all of that other crap."
me: *nods* (even though i liked DS9 and all of "that other crap.")

he then goes into some rave about some other show that's apperently a reality show of some sort. since we were talking about sci-fi, i was confused for a moment. eventually my brother said he needed some time to think about it (a.k.a check outer other store's prices) and we left. he's probably going to go with some other store, which is good because that guy kind of bugged me.

this makes my friends hat the only one of the 3 i have with something on it that has yet to be commented on.
