who was better?

if you're a star trek geek, you probably know there were 2 captain janeways; nicole & katherine. if you don't, i'll explain; at first the role was given to actress geneviève bujold and the character was named nicole. after about 3 days of filming she quit, claiming that she couldn't get used to the tv work schedule. (having on been in movies before that) kate mulgrew was quickly brought in to replace here & the character was renamed katherine. according to rumor, if they couldn't get a woman for the role of janeway, they'd go with a male & recast kim and chakotay with female actors.

so, who would you have preferred, mulgrew or bujold?
