friday 5: allergic reactions

archersangel1. Do you have any sort of allergy? If so, what are you allergic to?
yes. artificial dyes & scent. as well as some food preservatives.
2. What kinds of symptoms do you experience during an allergic reaction? Are they mild, moderate, severe?
usually mild. either a "tingling" around my nostrils or eye irritation. if i'ev handled something with some sort of sent on it, the back of my hands break out in tiny bumps that sometimes itch.
the worst reaction was on my trip to d.c in '98 where the corner of my mouth had a burned feeling and my face swelled from whatever they used to clean the sheets at that motel.
3. How do you manage your allergies?
benadryl or generic. or just wait it out. for the bumps, i use an anti-itch cream.
4. Do you have (or know someone with) an unusual or rare allergy?
no.
5. If you are allergic to pet dander, yet choose to keep a furry pet, what influenced your choice?
does not apply to me.
