food & bond thoughts

archersangela few days ago in target my brother & i discovered these boxed meal things from gopicnic. they were on sale, so we decided to try some. we had; hummus & crackers, peanut butter & crackers, salami & cheese, sunbutter & crackers, tuna & crackers and black bean dip & plantain chips. the company has other ones too, including ones that are gluten-free, vegan & kosher. (if you're wondering what sunbutter is, it's like peanut butter but using sunflower seeds.)
none of the ones we tried were all that great, each had at least one thing that would prevent us from getting them again. the black bean dip was awful, the edamame seed blend that comes with some of them was blech, the unsweetened applesauce was pretty much what you expect for unsweetened applesauce & the multi-grain crackers that came with some of them were kind of hard to chew.
on the plus side, we got to try hummus and found it's not terrible.
as i mentioned in a previous entry, my brother & i are going though the james bond movies on netflix streaming. and we were wondering what happens to the white cat that blofeld had? my brother and i are fairly sure there's been more than one (i'm talking in universe here) because when crap is going down, we're pretty sure it's not sticking around.
especially in you only live twice when everything is blowing up, you can see the poor thing is scared out of it's mind. if you look at the scene where bond, blofeld & the girl are in the tunnel and blofeld shoots the henchman who failed to off bond, you can see that the cat is making a break for it in the background of one shot.
since my brother & i are fond of cats, we like to think these cats get away, make it back to civilization (because a few of these SPECTER lairs are out in the middle of nowhere) & find someone to take care of them.
