MASH (TV) [early seasons] fic

Klinger was the first to see it while on Guard Duty in the early daylight hour, insisted it was a Panther & the nurse he told on the way to tell Col. Blake said she was sure she heard growling in the night. Blake called a Captain he knew in the 8055th who had studied biology & found out there were no large wild cats in Korea.

Meanwhile, in The Swamp Frank burst in insisting there was a wild boar near the latrines. His voice was a much higher pitch than normal & Trapper commented that this was no way to wake up. Another call to the 8055th confirmed the presence of boars on the peninsula. Burns looked smugly at his bunk mates & Hawkeye said that he would be gloating for at least a month.

Henry ordered that the number of guards be doubled. People only went out in groups, some banging a spoon on a tin cup or blowing a party horn to scare away what the camp called "the beast". When it turned out to be nothing more than an Irish Wolfhound that escaped from a General that was touring units in the area, most everyone was disappointed. For a brief period of time something interesting had been going on that distracted from the war.

there's now a 3rd prompt post up, you can still do fills on the first two, but all new prompts need to go in this new one.

i'm not even a third of the way through post number 2 & i'm not sure if i will continue going through it, not to mention the new one. it's almost time for festivids, even though i don't do anything for it other than watch videos & make a post about the ones i like. and then there's frivolous february that i still plan on doing. although i'm not 100% sure of just what to do for that yet.
