MCU fic & a prompt fill

Steve was always amazed at just how casually Tony treated money. If he splashed coffee on his shirt, he'd just buy another one rather than wash it. $4,000 suits, $1,800 shoes, $160 haircuts, it didn't matter. He didn't think twice about tipping restaurant servers with a $100 dollar bill. Sometimes two, if it was an attractive woman.

By contrast Steve, who grew up in a tenement, remembered The Depression & wartime rationing, counted every penny.

Even with his Army pay retroactive to when he crashed, and adjusted for inflation, he could not help but pick up any change he found on the sidewalk, check the coin returns on vending machines, and look for sales on groceries.

and a prompt that i left was filled; Ask This Old House, anthropomorphic house, Someone takes the title seriously & asks an old house a question.
