scents to wear while watching the amazing race
suggested by this post over at
rydra_wong's and since i'm watching the amazing race, i'm doing that.
since they go to countries on all contents, i'll do one for each.
ETA: these are all from BPAL.
ETA2: i've never tried any of these, i'm just going by descriptions.
africa--morocco; arabian spices wind through a blend of warm musk, carnation, red sandalwood and cassia.
you could use egypt too, but since they went to namibia this time, i thought it was fitting.
antarctica--the fimbul winter; the scent of utter desolation: three long white winters ushering in the end of the world. endless rolling landscapes of snow and ice, bereft of bud, flower, or seed. a lot of the snow ones might work too.
i don't think they've ever been here, but they've been to some very cold/icy places.
asia--kitsune-tsuki; asian plum, orchid, daffodil, jasmine and white musk. you could also use the one they have for india (since they've been there often), namaste--sandalwood, jasmine, rose, patchouli, cedarwood and lemongrass.
australia--y’ha-nthlei; a swirling, lightless, effervescent scent: the deepest marine notes with bergamot, eucalyptus and foamy ambergris.
you could go with a desert scent, if the show goes to the interior of the island, but i was thinking about the coasts.
europe--florence; elegant iris, bright berries, gilded amber and velvety spices.
you could also go with any of the ones listed for other european cites/countries.
north america--amsterdam; tulips, peony, fresh flowing water and crisp green grasses.
it was hard to find one for this. i was thinking "woods" "grass" or "outdoors."
south america--xiuhtecuhtli; copal, plumeria and sweet orange and the smoke of south american incense and crushed jungle blooms.
when i think about this content, i think jungles.
