1 year phone anniversary

it has been roughly a year since we got our first smartphones. i'm not sure exactly when, but i posted about getting them on nov. 26, so that is the unofficial date.

as predicted; we're not doing much more then calling, texting (we ended up doing more of that, since it's easier type out stuff with the keyboard setup) & taking the occasional picture/video. it is handy to look up something up on the internet while you are out & about, instead of trying to remember to do it when you get home.
we also go the wal-mart application, so we can find stuff in the store and look up prices.

although, my brother has become one of those people who when they have to wait in line or at the doctor's office take out their phone and starts poking around on it. to be fair, he has said that he gets bored easily in the past. at least i don't have to hear about how much he's bored in waiting situations now.

I have become one of those people too, and it makes for less frustration! It's good for me and good for the people around me.

I bring a book when I know to expect a line, but when I don't, I'm glad I can do something.

I still remember getting my first smart phone. It took a while to incorporate it into my life; every so often, I'd find an app was useful. Now I use it a lot.

Smartphones kind of worm their way into your life. I started out with mostly calls and texts, and I've slowly moved to mostly texts. Taking pictures is often my way of taking notes now. Need to buy/replace something specific? Take a picture of the item and/or the model info. I

I keep fanfic and books on my phone, as well as a few games that can be stopped without losing anything. Simple stuff like solitaire can pass the time if you're stuck in a waiting room, and I've been doing way too much of that in recent months.
