friday 5: superstitions

1. Are you superstitious?
a little, i guess.

2. Which superstitions do you believe in and act on?
friday the 13 is a bad luck day, as are mondays.

3. What superstition does someone close to you believe in and act on?
same as the above.

4. Do you take any extra precautions on Friday the 13th?
i try not to leave the house.

5. Do you secretly judge superstitious people?
only the sports ones.
thinking your team is going to win because you're wearing a certain shirt or eating a certain food when they score/win is too much. and what happens when they lose? was someone else's magic shirt more powerful?
i'm reminded of this commercial though.

(If you’re wondering where I popped up from all of a sudden, I strayed here from [community profile] metaquotes.)

The topic of superstition (and “Superstition”) compels me to share this with you; some people consider this the greatest live performance of the song:

Note that:

1. Sesame Street just let Stevie Wonder and crew jam as long as they pleased—-note the false-alarm finish.

2. Those little kids with toy instruments in the background, even if they were safely out of mic range, technically sat in on a historic performance by an R&B legend.
