an indiana jones moment in RL
yesterday my dad, brother & i are driving through town and stop at a red light. i hear music playing and it sounds familiar, then it hits me; "is that the indiana jones theme?" i asked my brother. "sounds like it." he replied. i was looking around to see if i could find the source. my guess it was from someone's car sound system. the ice cream/shaved ice place across the way doesn't have outside speakers that i know of, so i ruled them out.
it was loud enough, that i half-expected a guy in a fedora & brown leather jacket carrying a whip (possibly being chased by nazis) running down the sidewalk. but the light turned green & i didn't see anything of interest. but it made me smile.
