not exactly uncommon names
not long ago i made a post about names of furniture & fabric making for some interesting kids names. since then i've been thinking about names in nature for kids.
girl names
the usual flower ones; rose, daisy, lily, iris, violet, lavender. there there's brook(e), meadow, willow. river (used for both girls & boys), juniper. rosemary, ginger, anise, marjoram. rain, lake.
boy names
rock, sage, cliff (short for clifford, but still nature), basil. ash (usually short for ashton, but it's a tree). river, rainbow (in the very hippy cases). clay (usually short for clayton), forrest, fox, hawk. herb (should be pronounced her-b & not er-b, but opinions differ)
