Earlier this month CBS told investors on its quarterly earnings call that it’s in “active negotiations” with several outlets about syndication deals for “NCIS: New Orleans.”

“New Orleans,” like the other branches of the “NCIS” franchise, is an in-house production, so the money CBS Studios makes from off-network sales flows back to CBS Corp., all but ensuring a profitable run for the series.
