i remember
i've been doing a star trek re-watch from netflix for awhile now, starting with TOS & am up to ENT now.
it's odd what memories turn up sometimes. i recall that the first episode was delayed because of sept. 11 & that tv guide spoiled the twist in unexpected. (they do that you know)
i recall the lead up, the hints, the guessing of what will happen. the cast announcementsscott bakula! & not knowing who most, if any of them were. (which is true with the modern treks)
then watching the first episodeblue space undies! & grousing that the eyebrows of t'pol weren't slanted (didn't realize until much later that saavik's in ST: 2 weren't either)
it wasn't a perfect show, but i'd would've liked the journey to have continue for the full 7 years we expect a modern trek to run. even though some of what i've read about what might have been in the 5th season & beyond bugs me.
ETA: i didn't notice before that the men don't have the "starfleet point" sideburns in this incarnation of trek.
