Ditto from me on getting well both of you. My uncle had his gallbladder removed a few years ago. This uncle is my mom's brother, and about 5 years ago he had a stroke. He's doing great now, but it was touch and go for awhile there. The only major surgeries I've had were my 2 kidney transplants, and removal of a kidney stone which was only a couple years ago. I've had a few other surgeries, but they were minor. I'd say my 2 transplants were the biggest though. I have a sister who also had 2 kidney transplants, and she retired the surgeon who gave us the new ones the second time around. The fact that she retired him has become kind of a running joke in our family and amongst our circle of friends. I mean, the timing could not have been more perfect. All this is meant in a good way though, since he did a great job and is a nice guy. This sister and I have a somewhat rare genetic defect which caused our visual impairment, and kidney problems are somewhat prevalent for this defect.
