I'm totally with you on #3, with the addendum that those peppers will have already contaminated the food by the time they're pushed aside! Nasty things.
The only time I've had dessert somewhere other than where I just dined, we returned to a fancy restaurant we'd eaten at some time previously. We'd admired their gorgeous wooden bar area as we walked past it, and resolved to come back sometime for after-dinner drinks and dessert and ambience.
